Ukraine is supposed to proceed from Its National Interest concerning Its Foreign Political Issues, Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is convinced.
Asked in the program "Vid Pershoi Osoby" (Radio "Era") on Thursday, "is not it to quick we make deals with Russia and do left national interests of Ukraine beyond these treaties", V. Lytvyn stated: "It is not the case whether too early or not. The main fact is how far it harmonizes with national interests of Ukraine.
"I am convinced that each country proceeds from its own national interests, sand here the main fact is not to lose, demonstrate the number of means facilitating protection of the national interests etc. One more thing regarding "early or not." I suppose it seems in such a way in the result of the period of not favourable relations with Russian Federation that was caused by the policy of the previous power. I am preceding fist of all from the economic profit for Ukraine."
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine positively evaluated the relations between Russian and Ukraine as well as the bilateral treaties that are planned to be signed soon. "I can see no threats concerning the national interest in these treaties, also I am aware of the fact that the political power, the President is representing, used to declare long ago the positive relations with Russian Federation and now they simply implement their program. The main fact here is the clever calculations for the Ukrainian interests are preserved and."
