Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, addressed the General Prosecutor of Ukraine with the request to protect Kaniv nature resort from the construction of "Myronivskii Khliboprodukt" OJSC at its territory.
M. Tomenko stated that the representatives of Lipliave village territorial community addressed him with the appeal to protect them from the possible neighborhood with waste storage. The village residents explained that near Lipliave village the poultry producer company had been built on the territory of agricultural lands that had been working for two years without certification by the State Selection Committee. According to the territorial community representatives, "Myronivskii Khliboprodukt" OJSC has an intention to build a processing waste storage in Lipliave village regardless of the complaints and resolutions of the territorial community. Moreover, the supposed site of the waste storage is located near the natural water basin is connected with Dnipro river.
The Deputy Chairman is indignant over the fact that President Viktor Yushchenko had honored the chairmen of the holding company with the highest state decorations, esp. "The Hero of Ukraine" title.
