Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that the Parliamentary Coalition shall be set up till the End of this Week
"I am convinced that the parliamentary coalition shall be set up till the end of this week", - V. Lytvyn declared in the interview to "Izvestia v Ukraine" newspaper. Otherwise, the opposition will aggravate, as well as the public disappointment, which is inadmissible. I am deeply convinced that the consultations are to be shortened."
Answering the questions, V. Lytvyn stated that the variants of the coalition formation are not numerous. According to him, "the first option unites the Party of Regions, the Communist Party of Ukraine and the Lytvyn Bloc and also the Deputies ready to sign the coalition agreement."
The second option, according to the Head of the Parliament, presupposes the Party of Regions and "Our Ukraine-People´s Self-Defence." "These two faction are able to set up a full-fledged coalition and other factions can only strengthen it", - he stated.
V. Lytvyn emphasized that regardless of the chosen option, the Party of Regions shall assume the responsibility for the coalition formation. "There are no other variants", - the Head of the Parliament stated.
Answering the question concerning the most essential element in the process of the coalition formation, V. Lytvyn stated that "the Government shall be formed out of the professionals, in accordance with the situation in the country."
V.Lytvyn expressed regret that certain political forces make new shows, involve people into their arguments, drawing attention to the coalition formation. "People do not need it, as the coalition is an instrument to form the Government and organize the work of the political system", - the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada emphasized, adding that it is "an important work" for him.
V. Lytvyn also believes that the country might be "sewn together" by the economy. "Each citizen needs work and a possibility to earn money. People do not need protest rallies the power and politicians have been demonstrating during the last years. It is high time one stopped playing in state game and games with the country. We have immense opportunities but we have chosen idle talks."
According to V. Lytvyn, "people want to live normal life, hence they are supposed to be aware of the fact it depends on their attitude towards the state power formation."
