The Committee on Foreign Affairs in the Course of the Fifth Session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the Sixth Convocation scrutinized 63 Issues and introduced for the Parliamentary Scrutiny 22 Bills and Resolution Drafts

In the course of the fifth session the Committee´s activity was aimed at the improvement of the legislative basis of the foreign political activity of Ukraine. In particular, the Committee conducted the parliamentary expertise and preparation for the ratification of the Ukrainian international agreements.

 

During the session 11 Committee meetings were conducted, in the course of which 63 issues were scrutinized. The majority of them are bills concerning the numerous aspects of the foreign policy of Ukraine, ratification of the divergent international agreements, foreign economic activity, emigration issues etc.

 

For the parliamentary scrutiny were introduced 22 bills and resolution drafts, out of them 18 documents were adopted in their entirety.

 

In the course of the fifth session, the Committee formed two deputies groups on interparliamentary connections with The United Mexican States and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

 

The Committee elaborated and directed to the Ministry on Foreign Affairs 9 ratifications for its further direction to the depositary.

 

Moreover, the Committee leaders held approximately 20 protocol meetings with the foreign states representatives.
