Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that organization of the dialogue in the political circles is a precondition of stabilization in the country. He made the above-mentioned statement, having voted at the elections of the President of Ukraine (polling station No.1, electoral district No. 219).

V.Lytvyn stated that "politics is in the way of economy, which endangers social and economic situation".  "I know that it will be impossible to implement reforms declared during the election campaign. One does not implement reforms during the recession, the situation shall be steadied", - he stated. The Head of the Parliament believes that "the winner of the elections will be made hostage to the given promises; moreover, much depends on the dialogue in Ukraine and understanding of common responsibility for the people and the country". V.Lytvyn believes that a reformer is the one to take necessary measures to steady the situation.

V.Lytvyn answered the question whether the losing party would recognize the results of the elections. He expressed his hopes that the situation would be normal, the international observers confirming their stand declared during the first round of elections. "The situation at the polling stations is uneventful and democratic", - he stressed. V.Lytvyn excluded the possibility of another Maidan, "You can't step into the same river twice".

V.Lytvyn stated that his stand as the Head of the Parliament would not change after the elections, "as the problems of the country do not depend on the person who wins". Therefore, the behaviour of the Chairman will be unchangeable and predictable.
