The Committee on Public Health upholds the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Social Security of the Children of War" (re Medical Treatment at the Hospitals for the Great Patriotic War Disabled Veterans)

The Bill (Reg. No.5440) suggests the right for the free of charge hospitalization and medical treatment for the Great Patriotic War disabled veterans and members of their families and children under 18.

 

In the course of the discussion, the People´s Deputies expressed certain remarks regarding the Bill, in particular the Parliamentarians deem unsuitable the medical treatment in the hospitals for Great Patriotic War Disabled Veterans children less than 18 years old, as the indicated medical institutions are of gerontological orientation and have no facilities for children treatment.

 

The committee members also deems necessary to implement certain annual medical treatment quote for people possessing the status of children of war.

 

All the amendments and proposition were directed to the profile committee - Committee on the Matters of Pensioners, Veterans and Persons with Disabilities.
