The Committee on State Building and Local Self-Government recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Political Parties in Ukraine" (re Elimination of Discrepancies)

The Committee members stated that the Bill (Reg.No.5423) suggests the amendments to the effective Law, pursuant to which the political party gains the status of the juridical body from the moment of the state registration. The People´s Deputies suggests the exclusion from the text of the effective Law the reference to the Supreme Court of Ukraine as a court of the first instance regarding the scrutiny of the issues on activity prohibition and political party registration certificate cancellation.

 

The Committee members stated that the Bill is aimed at the elimination of the discrepancies between the norms of the Laws: "On Political Parties in Ukraine" and "On the State Registration of the Legal Entities and Sole Proprietors" and Code on Administrative Legal Proceedings in Ukraine."
