The Committee on State Building and Local Self-Government upholds the Bill of the Law of Ukraine on the amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine (re the Terms of the Verkhovna Rada of Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Local and Village Councils Authority)

The Bill (Reg. No4177) envisages the amendments to the part one of the clause 136 and part one and two of the clause 141 of the Constitution of Ukraine regarding the implementation of five-years-term of the Verkhovna Rada of Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Local and Village Councils Authority, elected in the result of the next elections.

 

The Committee members deem the conduction of the election of the Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, local councils not simultaneously with the elections of the village, township and city mayors considerable increases the expenses of the State Budget of Ukraine.

 

The suggested amendments will facilitate the legislative support of the necessary conditions for the efficient work of the local self-government bodies.
