Pursuant to the Order of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine V. Lytvyn, the Working Group was formed on Comprehensive Elaboration of the Issues on Elections conduction to the Local Councils in Ukraine. It was declared by the head of the Parliament in the course of the interview for the journalists on Tuesday.
According to V. Lytvyn, first of all it concerns the harmonizing of the office terms of the city mayors and local council deputies and conduction of the local elections according to the civilized election system.
V. Lytvyn is convinced that the elections should be held in autumn of the current year.
V. Lytvyn also emphasized that the financing of the local council elections are supposed to be envisaged during the formation of the State Budget for the current year.
