O. Riabeka, Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Legislative Support of Anti-bribery Policy and Citizens Rights, Cooperation with Public and other Organizations, declared that the Committee received 15 Bills regarding the improvement of the effective legislation on anti-bribery matters that envisage 141 amendments to 19 legislative acts.
The Committee adopted the decision on the formation of the working group for analyzing all the suggested amendments directed by the subjects of the legislative initiative, state power bodies, institutions and organizations.
The People´s Deputies together with the Ministry on Justice of Ukraine, international experts, public organizations elaborated the Bill "On Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding the Prevention and Corruption Counteraction" (Reg. No6130). It envisages the amendments to the Law "On Prevention Basis and Corruption Counteraction." The Bill also suggests the amendments to the clause 9 "On Liability of Legal Entities for the Corruption Infringements."
The People´s Deputies emphasized that the Bill contains new version of clause 7 which defines the order of implementation of restrictions regarding the persons resigned or terminated their activity, connected with the state functions implementation, local self-government bodies, the restriction regarding professional activity is reduced to one year.
The "round table" participants declared that the Bill adoption facilitates the principles of the legislative acts in Ukraine in the sphere of prevention and corruption counteraction and avoid the ambiguities of legal norms interpretation.
