The Bill (Reg. No. 5266) specifies the status of a volunteer and the volunteer organization, their rights and obligations, principles, types, and areas of activity, financial sources, etc. Also, the document envisages mechanisms of interaction between the volunteer movement participants, as well as the area of the government interference.

The People´s Deputies emphasized that up until now, there have been no legislative documents regulating the activity of volunteers. Areas of the movement development as well as financial sources have been unclear.

The Committee members are convinced that adoption of the bill allows to use the potential of Ukrainian volunteers more actively and fully. Furthermore, they will be encouraged for active work, education, and training.
