Mykola Tomenko: The State is obliged to provide Necessary Level of Health Protection in the only Hospital for Afghanistan War Veterans
Today, on the occasion of the Soviet troop pullout from the territory of Afghanistan, Mykola Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as a participant of the military actions in Afghanistan, visited Ukrainian hospital for solders-internationalists "Lisova Poliana."
The Deputy Chairman presented the hospital with the modern medical and sport equipment (cardiac defibrillator, diagnostic ultrasound device) as he for long years has been supporting the hospital.
In the course of the meeting with the personnel of the hospital, Mykola Tomenko declared, that authorities are supposed to finally point out the attention on the only specialized medical establishment for the participants of the military actions in Afghanistan and emphasized that assistance on his and his colleagues part is insufficient to provide the necessary level of medical treatment of seek people.
The Deputy Chairman is convinced that it is necessary to adopt the decision on the state assistance to the reconstruction project of the hospital that for today is the only specialized medical institutions for the Afghanistan veterans.
