The Bill (Reg. No. 4505), submitted by People´s Deputy A.Hrytsenko, introduces amendments to Clause 112 of the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine to harmonize it with Clause 2 of the Law "On the Security Service of Ukraine" that commissions the Security Service bodies to prevent, detect and cease corruption.
The Bill generalizes the procedure of investigating every law under the jurisdiction of the Security Service of Ukraine. The list of official malfeasances is supplemented with the term "bribery" (Clause 368).
People´s Deputy A.Hrytsenko suggests equating responsibility of the high-ranking local self-government officials (1-3 categories) with the responsibility of the public officials of corresponding categories.
The Committee members believe that adoption of the Law will facilitate fight against corruption, reduce its level and bear positive influence on the moral condition of the Ukrainian society.
