At the meeting on 20 October 2010, The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Bill on the regular elections of deputies of local councils, and village, township and city mayors in the year 2010 (Reg. No. 5097). Pursuant to the Bill, regular elections of deputies of local councils, and village, township and city mayors are scheduled for Sunday, 30 May 2010 in view of the fact that the regulation of the Constitution of Ukraine on the five-year period of authorities of deputies of the local councils came into effect only on 25 May 2006, while the deputies of the local councils were elected at the regular local elections on 26 March 2006.
The Committee members adjusted the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On the Capital of Ukraine Kyiv Hero City" (Reg. No.4463) for the Second Reading. It was adopted as a basis on 10 June 2009. The Bill enhances a special law concerning executive authorities and local self-government in the capital of Ukraine. A working group of the Committee in charge of the Bill held more than 20 meetings.
The Committee drafted 41 Bills, 47 Draft Resolutions, prepared 9 personnel issues and 2 Draft Resolutions regarding regulation of budget process.
