Today, Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met the directors of nursery schools of Obolon district of Kyiv. M.Tomenko sent his greetings on the occasion of the New Year and Christmas holidays and presented the CD "An Audio Book for Ukrainian Children" that will be forwarded to every pre-school educational establishment of the district.
M.Tomenko stated that implementation of the project "An Audio Book for Ukrainian Children" was continued by the presentation in Obolon district. He stated that nursery schools in Holosiivo and Desna districts of the capital had already received the CDs. Within the current week, all nursery schools of Zhytomyr, Rivne and Khmelnytsky regions will receive the audio books.

"An Audio Book for Ukrainian Children" is a joint project of "Spravedlyva Kraina" Fund and the National Radio Broadcasting Company of Ukraine intended for the small and pre-school children. The audio book includes 77 items (20 fairy tales and 57 musical works). The project is based on the idea of collecting various literary works for children to be used both during the children holidays, and in everyday life. This unique collection will help teachers of pre-school establishments and parents to organize educational process based on the best samples of Ukrainian culture. The CD consists of two parts. The first part includes Ukrainian popular fairy tales, foreign and authors´ fairy tales, performed by the People´s Artists of Ukraine. The second part contains nursery rhymes, counting-out rhymes, Christmas carols and lullabies performed both by the popular artists and creative children teams.
