In the course of the sitting of the Committee it was declared that the Bill (Reg.№5108)is aimed at the formation of the equal conditions for the military officers and state officers. The Bill suggests increase of the pension rates for the military servants families in case of the wage-earner loss
The People´s Deputies deem the suggested amendments would family to make "formation of the equal conditions for the military officers and state officers."
In particular it was stressed that the effective law envisages the considerable difference in per cent rates concerning the pension for the military officers and state officers families only in when the pension is nominated for one dependant 40% for the military servant family and 70% - for the state official family.
It was declared that the effective legislation envisages certain pension rates gradation depending on the availability of relationship of cause and effect between military duties accomplishing and wage-earner death.
The Committee members emphasized that such an approach is also determined by the Model Law on military veterans, adopted in the course of the 20th plenary meeting of the Interparliamentray Assembly of CIS countries participants, principles of which are supposed to be a basis for the elaboration and adoption of the legislative and other normative-legal acts that regulate the issue on social protection of military veterans, military officers and their family members.
