Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine: It is the People respected by the Residents of Crimea, not the Official Authority Representatives who shall conduct Inventory of the Crimean Lands
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine believes that formation of the Crimean authorities shall be transparent. Only native residents of Crimea shall be elected and have the right to elect to the Crimean authority bodies. "Then there will be no strangers to settle the land issues. The monopoly on the authority shall be eliminated, as it settles the problems of one team", - he stressed, dwelling upon the future of the Crimean lands.
According to V.Lytvyn, the area of land in Crimea totals 2 million 600 thousand ha, 70% of which are land plots, 100 thousand ha sea coast. The Head of the Parliament deems necessary to hold the land inventory both in Crimea, and in the whole Ukraine. He believes that the residents of Crimea, not the official authority representatives, shall conduct this inventory.
V.Lytvyn stated that "complete inventory of land plots and settlements presupposes formation of the land owners register, pursuant to which, all illegally allocated land plots shall be returned to the State".
He also believes that The Verkhovna Rada shall resume scrutiny of the issue concerning the veto of the President who objected to the moratorium on land market till 2012.
