The OSCE PA has concluded its summer session in The Hague. The general resolution was adopted, and according to all members of the Ukrainian delegation, absolutely aligns with both the immediate and strategic interests of Ukraine. Over 60 paragraphs of the document directly relate to our state, the need for its support, and the continued provision of all necessary resources for our victory.
This was stated by Mykyta Poturaiev, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy and Head of the Permanent Delegation to the OSCE PA, who initiated the respective resolution.
“I would like to emphasize that over 60 paragraphs of this resolution directly concern Ukraine, the necessity of supporting Ukraine, and the continued provision of all necessary resources for our victory. Additionally, more than 20 paragraphs address matters that could be highly beneficial to us. Specifically, this refers to manipulative, disinformation-based hostile interference. This is not just about us, as russia is currently waging a cognitive war against the entire democratic world. Naturally, significant attention is dedicated to condemning russia and analyzing its crimes against humanity and war crimes,” the politician noted.
According to him, this is a clear confirmation that Ukraine remains at the center of international attention.
“We held numerous meetings, in particular with the delegations of all our key partners. Additionally, members of the Ukrainian delegation conducted dozens of individual meetings. Therefore, I believe that all the objectives we set for ourselves have been achieved,” the Member of Parliament emphasized.
He added that in addition to the general resolution, four supplementary resolutions dedicated to Ukraine were adopted.
“The first resolution concerns crimes against media professionals and the media. The second provides a detailed examination of the rf’s crimes against humanity and war crimes. The third resolution, initiated by the US delegation, emphasizes that Ukraine is Europe’s shield, defending the eastern flank of European civilization and NATO. Consequently, all nations must provide all possible support to ensure Ukraine continues its fight. The fourth resolution addresses the colonial nature and colonial essence of russia, as well as the crimes against ethnic groups and minorities that the rf commits both on its own territory and in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories,” the parliamentarian informed.
He stressed that all four documents become an integral part of the overall OSCE decision.
