First Deputy Speaker Oleksandr Korniienko paid a working visit to the Chernivtsi region, where he participated in a panel discussion titled "Social Cohesion in Post-War Ukraine: How It Depends on Us" as part of the "Day of Ideas" forum.

During the forum, representatives from state authorities, culture, education, civil society, and the military discussed the key challenges awaiting Ukraine in the post-war period. In particular, they focused on the transition of military personnel and civilians back to civilian life, the recovery of communities, and finding common ground between people with diverse experiences.

During his speech, Oleksandr Korniienko emphasized that an open dialogue between all groups of society is the only way to resist external influences aimed at dividing the country.

"In my view, victory and post-war recovery will depend on meeting Ukrainians' demand for security. And this security must be multi-tiered. This will be our primary objective for the coming years," the First Deputy Speaker stated.

A distinct topic of discussion during the forum focused on building citizens' trust in the state — specifically, in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. According to Oleksandr Korniienko, enhancing this trust will require actively involving citizens in overseeing political decision-making, alongside holding transparent post-war elections.

As part of his working trip to Chernivtsi, the First Deputy Speaker also reviewed the implementation of the "Carpathian Shift: Bukovyna" physical education and rehabilitation project for children from front-line territories.

"Initiatives like this are of colossal importance for restoring the mental and physical health of children from Ukraine's front-line regions. This is not just a project, but a real and effective mechanism designed to give children from front-line territories back their sense of safety and joy," Oleksandr Korniienko stated.

Currently, children from the front-line communities of the Chernihiv region are staying at the health camp, which features various leisure zones for outdoor recreation, sports, developmental activities, and engaging workshops.
