Mykola Tomenko, the Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine criticizes the considerable part of the faction for the fact that they deprived the Parliament of the opportunity to work till the end of the first round of the elections.
It was declared today giving comments regarding the resolution adopted by the Verkhovna Rada according to which instead of the working in the session hall during 24-25 December the People´s Deputies would work with the voters. The next plenary meeting according to the schedule would be held on 19 January 2010.
The Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada emphasized that the idea on the Parliament adjourning was expressed by the representatives of Party of Regions, the Communist Party of Ukraine and the Presidential Part of Our Ukraine-People´s Self-Defence and finally today Lytvyn Bloc joined them today. "Probably the idea on agreements between V. Yanukovych, V. Yushchenko and P. Symonenko was upheld by V. Lytvyn. Nevertheless, Mykola Tomenko expressed regret concerning the lost opportunity to work during 2 days and adopt essential for the country bills", - the Vice-Chairman emphasized.
Giving comments regarding the adopted Resolution, M. Tomenko has also pointed out the attention on its absurdity as it is proved even by the Resolution text, registered by Yuriy But. Thus, in the explanatory note to the Resolution Draft the initiative to liquidate two plenary days is explained by the following: "The Resolution adoption enables the diversion of the negative consequences connected with the worsening of the meteorologic conditions."
