On the occasion of Journalist's Day, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, presented parliamentary awards to journalists, editors, camera operators, producers, and correspondents who work daily within the Ukrainian and international media landscape.
He highly praised the continuous dialogue with representatives of the media community and emphasized their critical role today: 'During the war, journalism is not only about the speed of news dissemination. It is about accuracy, responsibility, and the ability not to lose the truth in a torrent of information and hostile manipulations.'
Ruslan Stefanchuk paid tribute to the memory of all the journalists who have lost their lives in this war—both those who fulfilled their editorial assignments to the very end, and those who joined the ranks of the Defense Forces.
'I wish for all of us to bring closer the day when news of a full and peaceful life returns to the airwaves. The day when journalists will write about Ukraine without war,' emphasized the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
