Volodymyr Lytvyn: The Resolution of the Central Elections Commission that allows Home-Voting can result in the Falsification of Election Results
On Wednesday, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stayed with a working visit in Zhytomyr region. He stated that resolution of the Central Election Commission concerning home-voting can "disrupt the elections".
V.Lytvyn commented upon the possible consequences of such a resolution. Thus, according to V.Lytvyn, a great number of people will not be willing to visit polling stations. "It has already happened, such a possibility will enable falsification of election results", - he stressed.
The Head of the Parliament believes that "only persons with disabilities or sick people who can not arrive to the polling stations shall exercise this right". "In case of mass home-voting, a corresponding technology will be used. I object to such a resolution, as people shall vote at home only if valid reasons are available", - V.Lytvyn underscored.
