R. Otunbaeva is staying in Ukraine to observe the presidential elections on behalf of the OSCE. The participants of the meeting discussed the state and prospects of further development of partnership between the parliaments of Ukraine and the Kirghiz Republic.
Oleh Bilorus, Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs, dwelled upon the political situation in Ukraine in the period of the presidential election campaign.
O.Bilorus briefed on the Committee´s work. He stated that the Committee´s activity was aimed at the development of bilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation, determination of priority areas of trade relations development with other countries and attraction of foreign experience for the development of national legislation.
R. Otunbaeva underscored the necessity of improving neighborly relations between Ukraine and the Kirghiz Republic in the economic, political and humanitarian fields. She expects that this meeting will facilitate further bilateral cooperation.
