Ruslan Stefanchuk discussed assistance for Ukraine and reconstruction with the Prime Minister of Bulgaria

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, Andrey Gyurov, at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Bulgaria is one of Ukraine’s key partners in South-Eastern Europe. During the meeting, Ruslan Stefanchuk expressed gratitude for the consistent support of our state, the contribution to Ukraine’s reconstruction, and the willingness to continue standing with Ukraine. He emphasised that Ukraine and Bulgaria are united by a shared history, human ties, Black Sea security, and the closeness of their peoples.

The parties discussed the restoration of energy infrastructure, Ukraine’s European integration, as well as further cooperation on issues of international accountability of the aggressor state and the involvement of Bulgarian business in the reconstruction of Ukraine.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, Andrey Gyurov, emphasised that Ukraine can count on support both in countering aggression and in reconstruction. He also noted the resilience of Ukrainian democratic institutions, which continue to function during the war.

“I thank the great Bulgarian people for all the support that we feel, receive, and value. For us, this is a true manifestation of friendship, brotherhood, and assistance,” Ruslan Stefanchuk noted.
