Information Support for Elections, Information Security, and Pre-Election Campaigning: Working Group Meeting Was Held

On March 25, a regular meeting of the Working Group on the preparation of comprehensive legislative proposals regarding the organisation and conduct of elections under special conditions and/or post-war elections in Ukraine was held.

The meeting was held online as usual and chaired by the First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Oleksandr Korniienko.

The participants were presented with the outcomes of the sub-group on information support for elections, information security, and pre-election campaigning. The views of representatives of state authorities and members of the Working Group were also heard.

The event was attended by representatives of parliamentary factions and groups, the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Central Election Commission, law enforcement agencies, civil society organisations, and the expert community.

The Group’s work is ongoing and continues to be guided by the principles of maximum openness and transparency.
