The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Resolution "On the Report of the Temporary Inquiry Panel of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to investigate the Unauthorized Occupation of Land Plots, Illegitimate Construction of Residential, Business and Entertainment Centers in the City of Simferopol and Passivity of the Law-Enforcement Bodies"

The People´s Deputies took the report of the Panel into consideration.

 

"Given that the Panel ascertained the facts of interpenetration of crime and officialdom in the Crimean Autonomous Republic due to the inactivity of the law enforcement bodies, V.A.Yushchenko, President of Ukraine, is recommended to discuss the given situation at the meeting of the National Defense and Security Council to prevent aggravation of international and interconfessional conflicts and observe legislation in the fields of urban construction and land use", - the Resolution reads.  

 

Pursuant to the Resolution, the report of the Temporary Inquiry Panel is forwarded to the President of Ukraine, the Prosecutor General, the Head of the Security Service and the Minister of Internal Affairs.  

 

A relevant Draft Resolution was registered under Reg. No.5309.
