Participation of Ukrainians Abroad in Elections: Working Group Meeting Held

On March 11, a regular meeting of the Working Group on the preparation of comprehensive legislative proposals on the specifics of the procedure for organizing and conducting elections in a special period and/or post-war elections in Ukraine was held.

The meeting was held online and chaired by Oleksandr Korniienko, First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The participants were presented with the findings of the subgroup on the participation of Ukrainian citizens living abroad in elections. This was followed by presentations by representatives of state authorities and members of the Working Group.

The event was attended by representatives of parliamentary factions and groups, the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Central Election Commission, law enforcement agencies, public organizations, and experts.

The group continues its work. Its activities are guided by the principles of maximum openness and transparency.
