Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that it is impermissible for Viktor Yushchenko, President of Ukraine, to use the public TV channel as the candidate for presidency to criticize the Government. "It shall not be tolerated that President Viktor Yushchenko suggests hours hate at the expense of public funds", - he stated. M.Tomenko gave an example of "the so-called meeting with the workers and public organizations of Chernivtsi region" broadcast live at the First National TV Channel on Sunday.

The Vice-Chairman also stated that the President´s team pursued a common strategy with the team of Viktor Yanukovych.

M.Tomenko believes that in view of such a situation, the President will criticize Yulia Tymoshenko, Prime Minister of Ukraine, at the first round of elections, discouraging people from participating in the second round of elections. M.Tomenko stresses that such behaviour of V. Yushchenko is a prerequisite for the victory of V. Yanukovych.

The Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine drew attention to the lack of grave permanent criticism between the teams of V. Yushchenko and V. Yanukovych. "One can hardly name the offices expected by the Yushchenko´s team for assisting V. Yanukovych. However, considering the fact that the President has conferred numerous State decorations to the deputies from the Party of Regions, the actions of V. Yushchenko obviously deserve the Hero of Ukraine title after the victory of V. Yanukovych", - M.Tomenko stated.
