In the course of the Committee sitting it was declared that the Bill (Reg.№5318) envisages the amendments to certain legislative acts and presupposes implementation of extra legislative double citizenship cases prevention mechanisms and also restriction of certain rights of Ukrainian citizens that at the same time reside at the citizenship of other country and/or possess status of an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence and have registered documents for the permanent residence beyond the Ukrainian borders.
In particular, the amendments to the Law "On Citizenship of Ukraine" implement the order for the national-born subjects of Ukraine and persons that were admitted to the citizenship, according to which they are obliged to return the passport of the foreign state to the authorized agencies of this state.
The effective Law should be added by the article 251 envisaging the authority of other state agencies (except those indicated in articles 24 and 25) and local self-government bodies regarding the issues solving in the citizenship sphere.
Moreover the Bill envisages the amendments to the Laws: "On State Service", "On Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine", "On Local Self-Government Service", "On Local State Administrations", "On Security Service of Ukraine."
