On 14 January 2026, the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation adopted an important decision, aimed at expanding Ukraine's economic cooperation with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.

The Committee recommended that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approve the government's draft law on ratification of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Singapore on air transport (register No. 0338). The adoption of the draft law is necessary for the entry into force of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Singapore on Air Services (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement), signed in Singapore on 2 June 2024.

The Agreement establishes the legal basis for the development of regular and charter flights between Ukraine and Singapore under agreed conditions. This will promote economic and tourism cooperation, facilitate business ties between the two countries and, in the long term, expand Ukraine's presence in Asian markets.

In addition, during the meeting, the Committee approved the Indicative Work Plan of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation for the period of the fifteenth session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the ninth convocation, as well as proposals for the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
