This was stated by Member of Parliament of Ukraine, Deputy Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence, and Head of Ukraine’s Permanent Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Yehor Cherniev.
«We are already sharing with our partners our experience in countering russian drones and missiles — the tools and tactics we use to do so. We have even invited their soldiers and officers to come to Ukraine to train here; however, for the time being, they prefer to conduct training on their own territory. We remain open to cooperation with our allies. Moreover, we have launched the ‘Build with Ukraine’ programme, under which our drones — which we effectively deploy against russia — can be assembled and manufactured in partner countries in cooperation with companies from those countries,» the politician noted.
He added that a number of pilot projects are currently being launched in Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Denmark, and other countries.
«Many countries are interested in our technologies. In particular, Poland, as our closest neighbour, clearly understands that russia poses the greatest threat to them and to the Baltic states among European countries, and is therefore moving in this direction more rapidly,» the Member of Parliament said.
He also recalled that, according to Ukrainian intelligence, russia has increased the production of various types of weapons that are not being used on the territory of Ukraine but are instead being stockpiled.
«This is a clear indication that the russians are preparing for something. And our partners clearly understand that it is better to stop russia in Ukraine and inflict the greatest possible damage on it today, so that it does not have the capacity to wage a full-scale war against NATO member states. This is precisely why the EU decided to provide Ukraine with a €90 billion loan,» the parliamentarian emphasized.
