The declaration of the President of Ukraine concerning possible dissolution of the Parliament if a new Constitution is not adopted within 100 days is addressed to the public, not the politicians. Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, made the above-mentioned statement on Saturday, within the scope of the working visit to Bila Tserkva town in Kyiv region.
He stated that the new Draft Constitution had not been submitted to the Parliament yet. "It is a mere declaration, as there is neither a Draft Constitution, nor a legislative provision to regulate such matters", - V.Lytvyn stated.
The Head of the Parliament believes that "the latest development of events is intended to demonstrate determination and decisiveness".
"It is obviously a right trend in the aspect of political engineering", - V.Lytvyn summed up.
