The Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation held a meeting with the Chair and members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament of the United Kingdom

On 25 November 2025, the second meeting of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament of the United Kingdom was held via video conference, chaired by Committee Chair Oleksandr Merezhko and Committee Chair Emily Thornberry. The meeting was attended by MPs, Committee members Iryna Herashchenko, Mariia Ionova, Chair of the Committee on Ukraine's Integration into the European Union Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze, as well as representatives of the United for Ukraine delegation.

During the meeting, members of the relevant foreign affairs committees discussed the current security situation in Ukraine, in particular the shelling of Ukraine's energy infrastructure and the creation of unacceptable conditions for the civilian population of Ukraine, the situation on the contact line, the prospects for a ceasefire and the peace process, namely the proposed 28 points of the peace plan, as well as European integration and Ukraine's accession to the European Union.

Among other things, they discussed the issue of economic and military-technical assistance to Ukraine from foreign partners, the solidarity of foreign partners in supporting Ukraine, the humanitarian situation in Ukraine, countering the russian federation's ‘shadow fleet’, the sanctions policy against the aggressor state and the use of frozen russian federation assets for the restoration of Ukraine, as well as the creation of an international tribunal for the crime of aggression against the russian federation.
