The Bill (Reg. No.4341) increases the rates of penalties for the violation of environmental legislation, and amends certain clauses of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements in order to coordinate them with effective legislation. The committee emphasized that the Bill clauses do not contradict with the article 174 of the Agreement on Foundation of the European Cooperation and Resolution if the Council 2003/80/JHA on criminal-legal protection of the environment.
