Mykola Tomenko: Since the Local Self-Government Day, Local Authorities shall make Presents to the Community, not to Themselves

"Khmelnytsk region shows a good example how local authorities shall make presents to the local community, not to themselves since the Local Self-Government Day", - Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stated during his visit to Khmelnytsk region.

Within the scope of the working visit, M.Tomenko together with Ivan Hladuniak, Head of the Regional Council, arrived to the town of Slavuta to attend the opening of the renovated sports stadium in the city park of culture and recreation, the local Community Center, the renovated Civil Registry Office and the local library.

M.Tomenko stated that the opening of such social establishments in the period since the Local Self-Government Day till the New Year holidays confirmed that local self-government was efficient. The Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated that a number of renovated or new social infrastructure objects had recently been opened in Khmelnytsk region.

"Such investments of the local authorities into education, science, culture, healthcare, development of physical culture and sports are the investments into the revival of communities and entire Ukraine", - M.Tomenko stressed.
