The European Commission has published a report on Ukraine's progress in implementing the reforms necessary for EU membership, which emphasises that, despite the war, Ukraine remains committed to European integration and is making significant progress in implementing reforms.

«The enlargement report on Ukraine turned out to be very positive. In fact, it is the best in recent years,» says Dmytro Natalukha, Chairman of the Committee on Economic Development.

«Overall, the EU has not found a single area of negotiations where Ukraine has not shown progress over the past year,» as you understand, this is something that still needs to be earned in the fourth year of full-scale war.

Behind the achievements of this Enlargement Report on Ukraine are hundreds, if not thousands, of people who are bringing our country closer to EU accession every day.

And most of these people, as it happens, are representatives of the Government, Parliament, the Office, the diplomatic corps, and the authorities in general.

This includes the members of our Committee on Economic Development, whom I am very proud of for defending Ukraine's trade policy, for their common position on CBAM, and simply for their high-quality and professional work on European integration bills. I am proud of all members, regardless of their faction or views, because when it comes to European integration, my colleagues always put Ukraine's interests and constructive approach first.

Unfortunately, the closer we get to our goal, the more attempts there will be to discourage, demoralise and antagonise society and pit it against the state.

So let's be balanced, vigilant and try to remain sceptically optimistic. Otherwise, what was the point of the last decade of struggle?

Everything is ahead of us! We will overcome it! Congratulations to everyone involved!

It should be noted that in its report, the European Commission noted that Ukraine has successfully completed the process of screening its legislation and fulfilled the conditions for opening negotiations on three of the six clusters, namely «Fundamentals of the EU Accession Process», «Internal Market» and «External Relations». The report emphasises that our country has adopted a Roadmap on the Rule of Law, a Roadmap on the Functioning of Democratic Institutions, a Roadmap on Public Administration Reform, and an Action Plan for the Protection of the Rights of Persons Belonging to National Minorities (Communities) in Ukraine, which has been positively assessed by the European Commission.

In addition, the European Commission expects Ukraine to fulfil all the conditions for opening the remaining three negotiation clusters in the near future.
