The Committee on Judicial Policy recommends that the Parliament adopts as a Basis the Bill on Amendments to the Civil Code of Ukraine (re Regulation of Legal Relations between the Custody Bodies and Individuals who require Custody and Care)

The Bill (Reg. No. 5211) harmonizes the regulations of the Civil Code of Ukraine with the legislative provisions on childhood protection. It determines the system of public administration bodies in charge of custody and care and extends the range of persons entitled to it.

 

Pursuant to the Bill, "custody and care bodies are district, district in the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol State administrations, executive bodies of city, district in the city, village and township councils".

 

The Committee members expressed certain remarks concerning the Bill to be taken in account while adjusting the Bill.
