Discussing the development of the music sector with the artists, the Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament stressed that the role of Ukrainian music and song as the soul of our people should be affirmed at the state level and this heritage should be preserved for future generations.
Ruslan Stefanchuk also emphasised the need for legislative changes to support artists and develop the industry. According to him, this is especially important in protecting Ukrainian culture and agreeing on an idea that will strengthen the state policy in this area.
"Ukrainian music is our identity, strength and voice in the world. In times of war, Ukrainian song again becomes a weapon of the spirit - it supports soldiers and inspires society. It was with us in the past, it sounds today and will certainly sound for the future generations of a free Ukraine," said Ruslan Stefanchuk.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament awarded diplomas of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to those who made a significant contribution to the development and popularisation of musical art, revival and preservation of Ukrainian culture and traditions.

He stressed the importance of modern mechanisms to support the music industry, including funding from the state budget, the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and institutional mechanisms. "We are now not just competing in terms of marketing and finance, we are also competing ideologically. russia's task has always been to make sure that Ukrainian music does not sound in the top. Therefore, the state should purposefully support the production and promotion of Ukrainian music," said Oleksandr Korniienko.
This meeting became an important platform for discussing the urgent needs of the music community, said Oleksandr Sanchenko, MP, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Music Industries, Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy. He stressed that among the legislative initiatives under consideration is the introduction of the Day of Ukrainian Music on the third Saturday of September.
