During the meeting that was held on the occasion of the International Day of People with Disabilities, there were scrutinized 17 drafts of normative acts concerning the transport services for the disabled, their medical insurance, education, physical training and sport and also employment.
In particular, during the meeting were adopted the actions aimed at the acceleration of the public transport re-equipping taking into the consideration needs of the people with disabilities. Also during the sitting the amendments to the Order of conduction of passengers transportation was adopted in the part of the demands regarding the availability of transport accommodate for the transportation of people with the disabilities that envisaged availability of places (10% from the total quantity) for the parking of transport means of the special purpose of disabled.
Moreover, the issue on 50 academic scholarships of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine that is supposed to be nominated to the students from the people with disabilities quantity of higher educational establishments of III-IV accreditation levels, the Plan of measures to be taken to introduce the inclusive and integrated education in compulsory educational establishments of general education was adopted and also certain number of actions aimed at the increase of the quantity and quality improvement of the titration and sign language translation of the informational, thematic television programs and defining of the legal status of the sign language translation specialists.
The participants of the meeting also adopted number of measures aimed at the formation of the necessary conditions for the development of paralympic and deaflympic movement in Ukraine, conduction of the physical-rehabilitation and sport training of people with disabilities.
