The Committee on Transport and Connection recommends that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopts as a Basis the Bill on Inland Water Transport

The Bill (Reg.№4319) envisages the defining the term "inland water way", "water vessel", "water vessel owner" and also the order of the inland water ways use, registration of vessels and navigation right under the State flag. The Bill contains norms that envisage regulation of the legal state of vessel officers and crew, regulation of the vessel trips etc.

 

The authors of the Bill also suggest regulation of legal relations during enmergemcy situations and loss compensation in case ship crash and environmental pollution.
