Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasizes that Aircraft Industry, Aircraft Construction in particular, is supposed to become one of the State Policy Priorities
"Aircraft industry, aircraft construction in particular, is supposed to become one of the state policy priorities, - V. Lytvyn declared on Monday during the meeting with airport "Chernivtsi" personnel. First of all we are supposed to produce aircrafts for Ukraine."
According to the Head of the Parliament, "there are perfect opportunities for the pilots, engineers and navigation officers training in Ukraine." V. Lytvyn is also convinced that adoption of the Air Code "needs special attention of the Verkhovna Rada and executive power."
V. Lytvyn also expressed for the necessity of cooperation strengthening with Russian Federation in this sphere declaring that "unfortunately, cooperation of Ukraine with Russia concerning aircraft construction is conducted by inertia." "It prevents us from the burning problem solving - serial production of ÀÍ-70 aircraft", - he declared.
"It is key tasks that are to be solved next year", - he summed up.
V. Lytvyn expressed the thought that aircraft industry is "a barometer that reflects the economic state of the country and rate of Ukraine involvement into the international processes." He explained that air connection between the townships of Ukraine considerable reduced. "Unfortunately, not every region has normal air connection even from Kyiv there are not many flights and regional centers even worse. In comparison, earlier there were regular flights even to district centers and townships", - he declared.
During the meeting one of the veterans of aircraft enterprise presented V.Lytvyn with his pilot jacket, that had belonged to him for 35 years and V. Lytvyn in his turn presented the veteran with the watch and airport personnel with St. Nicolas icon.
As it was informed earlier, during 7-10 December, V. Lytvyn would stay with the working visits Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil regions.
