Candidates for the office of the Head of the State who have a real chance for the victory during the presidents´ election are not interested in the introduction of the amendments to the election legislation. It was declared by O. Lavrynovych during the interview for the "Inter" TV channel.
"Candidates that are self-confident will never hold any changes to the Law on the Election of the president of Ukraine during the election campaign", - O. Lavrynovych informed.
Still, he is convinced that "for those who have an intention to preserve their chairs, positions and offices, - it might have been the maximum dream as due to the chaos, court processes it would give them the opportunity to delay the day of their dismissal."
Giving comments regarding the proposition of the President of Ukraine, O. Lavrynovych briefed that they had already lost their actuality as on 2 December the Parliament rejected this Bill.
"I suppose that such novels were aimed at the leveling of the citizens will", - O. Lavrynovych emphasized.
At the same time, the First Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine briefed that the agenda of the plenary week contained vital bills, in particular concerning the budget process, but Yulia Tymoshenko instead insisted on the scrutiny of the presidential bill on the amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the elections of the president of Ukraine.
Giving the answers to the questions whether there would be any contempt to change laws until the election of the President of Ukraine, O. Lavrynovych declared: "Probably there would be, but I am convinced that this time it would not take place." "Many candidates for the presidential office, parliamentarians, and simply politicians understand that amendments during the election campaign is rather dangerous", - politician explained his point of view.
