Mykola Tomenko: Main Candidates for Presidency consider Election Meetings to be more important than the Work over the Budget

Discussing the problems concerning adoption of the State Budget in the morning air on "Radio-Fm", Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared that adoption of the Budget by the New Year with the common efforts of the President and Government would be the most positive variant.

"However, it is possible only when everyone understands that Ukraine needs a realistic stable budget for 2010"

According to M. Tomenko, everyone understands that it is impossible to adopt the Budget of economic increase or maximum welfare in year 2010. "It would be the Budget that gives the opportunity to provide stability and renewing Ukrainian economy", - he declared.

M. Tomenko doubts the possibility of this variant, as the discussion of the Budget at the first reading demonstrated that the main candidates for presidency were not interested in its adoption.

The Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine proclaimed that everyone criticized absence of the Prime-Minister at the session hall during the discussion of the Budget despite the fact that Yulia Tymoshenko and several Ministers were present at the sitting of the CIS Governmental Leaders Summit in Yalta.

"The fact that Viktor Yanukovych, Volodymyr Lytvyn and Arseniy Yatseniuk and other candidates for presidency were absent in the session hall testifies that they consider discussion of the fundamental Law for the country as an element of the Presidential campaign and not as an instrument of stability in Ukraine", - the Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasized.
