The Committee on Foreign Affairs recommends that the Parliament adopts as a Basis the Bill on Adjacent Zone of Ukraine

During the sitting of the Committee it was declared that the adoption of the Bill (Reg.№5014) is aimed at the harmonization of sea legislation of Ukraine with the legislative system of other Black Sea countries and countries-participants of UNO Convention on sea law of the year1982.

 

The Bill envisages defining of the legal regime of the adjacent zone of Ukraine, its legal status and regime. The Bill contains principles on the enabling of Ukraine with the conduction of customs, fiscal, emigrational and sanitary control in adjacent zone and also possessing the right to implement duties regarding the sunk in the adjacent zone archeological and historical objects.

 

Relevant amendments are introduced to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Law Infringements and Laws "On Protection of Cultural Heritage ", "On State Border Service" and "On Protection of Archeological Heritage."
