Tomorrow, the Parliament will scrutinize the Government´s action plan and the Draft Budget for the next year. Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, made the above-mentioned statement during the today´s briefing at the Parliament.

M.Tomenko stated that the discussion would be twofold: the Government believes that the country needs the budget, while it must be a budget of stability in 2010. "On the other hand, the available documents testify that the budget resembles the proposals of the Factions regarding realization of electoral promises of their political leaders", - he stated.

"Today´s proposals of the Party of Regions, the pro-presidential part of "Our Ukraine" and other Factions totaled UAH 160 billion. I believe that no serious person will come to The Verkhovna Rada and say: let us include another UAH 160 billion of expenditures into the budget", - he stated.

M.Tomenko stressed the lack of serious proposals concerning increase of budget revenue and support of the national economy.
