Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stresses the Social Responsibility of Business to the Society
"The Business is supposed to be now socially responsible more then ever as we face complicated transition period", - V. Lytvyn declared on Thursday during the interview after review of open joint stock company "Ptahokombinat "Bershadkiy" (Vinnytsia region) work and conversation with the enterprise personnel.
The state is obliged to form corresponding game rules, business participants "are supposed to demonstrate responsibility for their workers and provide the social sphere and infrastructure, especially in small towns and villages", the Leader of the Parliament declared. V. Lytvyn is convinced that such an approach is the guarantee "of the stable people´s life, stability of the whole country as the quality of life and social guarantees for the personnel is the major principle of prosperous business."
Moreover, V. Lytvyn informed that under the condition of such approach, "we will not have as it often happens, negatively colored words "business" and "businessman."
V. Lytvyn mentioned that open joint stock company "Ptahokombinat "Bershadkiy" "demonstrates an example of really responsible approach of business to the social sphere." "I am thankful to the enterprise personnel that preserved natural approach to the production organization, - V. Lytvyn declared. Probably it is a drawback regarding economic as it is hard to compete with monopolist enterprises that implement harmful food additive to the forage. Still it is one of the examples of the responsible approach to the business and own company organization as the producers care about health of their consumers."
V. Lytvyn declared: "It is necessary to discharge from the management people that actually are personnel of the big business as dotation allotted today for this sphere through the monopoly pressure does not reach final producers who really care about the fair business and its social provision."
