V. Lytvyn commented upon the meeting of the CIS Government Leaders at the summit in Yalta:

there were no sensations, but "a lot of assumptions already".

 

In particular, he declared that "the Russian party approved its position regarding establishment of the world prices for energy resources and their transit." "There will obviously be sharp debates regarding this matter and each party will exert every effort to avail of the situation." "It is important to prevent another wave of confrontation both in the country, and in the international relations," he stated.
