The Problem of fighting Epidemic is Acute, Coordinated Actions being necessary to settle it, - V.Lytvyn

"If there had not been any epidemic, probably it should have been feigned. So they feigned it.", the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared summing up the scrutiny in the Parliament the issue on situation on epidemic in Ukraine of influenza and pandemic influenza A/H1N1 and immediate measures on prevention of spread of pandemic influenza in Ukraine. According to him, in stead of "giving distinct answer on what is going on, inspire people with hope and certainty, we receive now mutual accusing and contest that cares more about people."

 "Consequently it looks as though who would be the leader of this problem and people are considered only as a material. It is obvious that this theme is zero-risk", - V. Lytvyn emphasized.

 

According to the statistics, that was shown by the Head of the Parliament mortality rate after pneumonia in year 2005 for 10 thousand population was 6335, in year 2006 5484, in 2007 6552, in 2008-6465 people. "Why there were no panic? Because there were no elections?, - V. Lytvyn addressed People´s Deputies and officials. God be thanked, at least elections made returned us to the problem the problem of people." He emphasized the necessity of conduction of total medical examination, solution of the heating problems, proper meals and sanitary level. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has pointed out the attention on the fact that epidemic started in poorest regions and it testifies that "we speak today about the consequences but not about what caused epidemic."

 

Speaking about the problem of medicines provision, V. Lytvyn called to hold the total inventory "who and what took, starting from pharmacies to medicines production in the whole."

 

"It is obvious that the theme during the elections is zero-risk, as people do care about their lives." The Leader of the Parliament asked: "Let us stop mutual accusing, let us appreciate that the problem is extremely dangerous and for its solution we need coordinated actions."
