Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that the Law on the Alteration of Elections to the Local Councils will hardly be adopted in the Nearest Time due to the Current Situation at the Parliament.
"Political "heavyweights" is totally against it, - V. Lytvyn declared during the press-conference on Monday on Dnipropetrovsk. Moreover, the biggest political powers represented in the Parliament, proposed for the members of the electoral committees, that demonstrate the best results during the elections, places in the party registers during the local elections.
V. Lytvyn forecasted that the Parliament" would be obliged to return tot his issue scrutiny under the citizens´ pressure." "I have always been convinced that the cancellation of the elections due to the party register should have been scrutinized before the President´s elections", - the Leader of the Parliament declared explaining that "first of all, it would have been a test for all the candidates, second of all, its adoption immediately would facilitate moral and psychological health improvement of our politicians", - V. Lytvyn proclaimed.
