Within the Scope of the Working Visit to Zaporizhzhia Region, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, visited "Sylena" Sewing Company
V.Lytvyn visited the company, whose employees make cost free gauze bandages apart from their basic production women and men apparel.
V.Lytvyn met the directors of "Sylena" to discuss numerous issues facing the factory that had been founded 80 years ago. Despite unfavorable economic conditions, the company offers working places and looks for new outlets. The director of "Sylena" stated that it was difficult to conclude the contracts on the export of factory´s production due to the unstable economic situation in Ukraine.
V.Lytvyn stated that the directors of the company maintained production at the proper level in spite of the hardships. The Head of the Parliament deems necessary to prevent illegal uncontrolled import of light industry products in Ukraine, pursuiting protectionist policy regarding domestic producers.
The Parties agreed to hold the meeting of the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with the representatives of domestic light industry to make proposals as to overcoming of the recession in the branch, which should be taken into account while drafting and adopting corresponding legislative acts.
V.Lytvyn was presented a coat of a local production. He was also asked "to convince Ukrainian politicians to support domestic producers".
On Tuesday, V.Lytvyn will also meet the personnel of Berdiansk Trade Sea Port, observe production of "Azmol" OJSC and meet the employees of the plant.
